I’m a multi-disciplinary designer based in Brooklyn, NY.
I recieved a BA in Graphic Design from Portland State University, where I focused on typography and physical expressions of design like posters and booklet layout. There I became a graphic designer, enamored with what can happen when you are given no bounds.
Today, I’m an influential senior designer on a team at Instrument dedicated to Google and other Alphabet companies. For 4 years I’ve carried a passion for print into digital spaces, applying my deep understanding of design fundamentals to imagine functional, yet beautiful, solutions on the web. Though I don’t want to call myself a web or product designer, here I’ve developed great dexerity in thinking technically and strategically to solve challenges. Each project has lent opportunities to sharpen these skills and take a holistic approach but, my pursuit for a beautiful handoff file remains paramount.
As paradoxical as it may seem, the more I work with products, the more interested I am in stepping away from technology. One day I hope to be a part of creating novel (read: physical) deliverables that might result in deeper wonder and reflection—counteracting our world of digitalisation.
